R&SA Business Division Notes New Specialty Foods Focus
As part of its ongoing segmentation strategy, the Business Insurance Division of Royal & SunAlliance USA announced a new program of insurance and services for manufacturers of specialty food products.
Specialty food manufacturers focus on narrow product lines aimed at specific niche markets, such as ethnic, diet, or regional foods. The new segment will be part of the Commercial Business Groups within the company’s Business Insurance Division.
The Specialty Foods segment will offer a broad array of accident prevention, claim and underwriting services, as well as specific coverages tailored to meet the needs of the specialty foods industry. These include coverages for adulteration, spoilage, change in temperature, product recall, brands and labels, and market/selling price. In addition, enhancement endorsements for property, general liability and automobile coverage will be offered to all insureds.
Also available will be the Royal Flex(SM) property form, a manuscript property policy tailored to the insured’s specific coverage needs; Machinery & Equipment coverage with specialized accident prevention services; and international coverages.
Royal & SunAlliance USA’s Commercial Business Groups (formerly the Commercial Division), headquartered in Farmington, Conn., provide customized products and services to mid-size commercial customers in selected industries.
The division is known for its segment-specific underwriting, pricing and loss control using its Zero Accident Culture® accident-prevention techniques and the claims handling experience of RoyalCare®. The Specialty Foods segment will be part of the Manufacturing Business Group.
