Pa. Dept. of Labor & Industry Reminds Employers of Workplace Requirements
Working to ensure that Pennsylvania businesses and workers are aware of labor law requirements, Department of Labor & Industry Secretary Stephen Schmerin reminded employers that state and federally mandated workplace posters are available from the commonwealth free of charge.
“There are more jobs in Pennsylvania now than any time in history,”
Schmerin said. “As our economy continues to grow, it is important that
businesses properly inform workers of the labor laws that protect their rights on the job.
“We provide these posters for free because educating businesses and
employees about the diverse labor laws affecting the workplace is one of the many ways we can maintain fair and safe workplaces for all Pennsylvanians.”
Workers’ compensation, Child labor, minimum wage and unemployment compensation laws are among the required labor law postings. Failure to post notices can result in penalties and possible fines. Posters that Pennsylvania employers are required to post in the workplace are available for downloading at http://www.state.pa.us, PA Keyword: workplace posters.
