Conn. Police: Bicycling Doc Had Heart Attack Before Being Hit By Truck
Police in Branford, Connecticut say a Yale doctor who was struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle had died of heart failure just before the accident.
Fifty-two-year-old Dr. Scott Borrus was affiliated with Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Yale School of Medicine.
Borrus was the founder of the Southern Connecticut Internal Medicine group.
Police say Borrus was riding his bicycle north on South Montowese Street Tuesday night when he swerved into the path of the truck.
The driver of the pickup truck that struck Borrus has not been charged in connection with the accident itself.
