Girl, 3, Killed by Piece of Fence at Her New York Home
A 3-year-old girl is dead in suburban New York after a heavy piece of metal fencing toppled over and struck her on the head.
Authorities say the girl was leaning against a deck at her house in Armonk Monday afternoon when the fence fell. She was found bleeding from the head and ears.
Police say the girl was flown by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center. She was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m.
Armonk is located in the town of North Castle, about 40 miles north of Manhattan in Westchester County.
