Weather Service: Microburst Hit Pennsylvania Trailer Park
The National Weather Service says a microburst packing 60 mph winds is responsible for heavy damage at a mobile home park in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
About 100 homes suffered some damage in the storm about 9 p.m. Monday.
Weather service officials visited at Strickland Estates in Georges Township on Tuesday. They say they found no evidence that a tornado hit the park.
Initially, only 30 homes were reported damaged.
Five homes have been destroyed and residents say winds were so strong that some homes have been blown off their foundations and doors have been blown off their hinges.
