Lightning Strike Starts Delaware House Fire
State fire investigators say lightning started a fire at a home in Hockessin, Delaware.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the unit block of Temby Chase.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office says firefighters saw smoke coming from the roof area when they arrived at the house. They were able to control the blaze in about 20 minutes.
Two adults, who were home when the fire started called 911 and were not injured.
The fire was contained to the roof area and damage is estimated at $2,000.
