Girl Hurt by Skeleton Prop at New York Amusement Park
A 5-year-old girl has been injured by a skeleton prop that came loose and fell from the side of a haunted house at a Long Island amusement park.
A security official at Adventureland in East Farmingdale says the girl was walking through the park Friday night when the skeleton fell on her. Police say they were called to the park about 8:06 p.m.
Security Director Sonny Grasso says the girl was cut on the back of her neck by the prop, which is about 10- to 15-feet tall. He says park officials called 911 and that she was taken to the hospital. The girl has not been identified.
Witness Vincent Farina of Copiague tells Newsday on Friday that the girl was conscious but had no idea what had happened.
