Man Arrested in 2007 Maryland Arson
The State Fire Marshals Office has charged a Washington County man with setting a blaze that heavily damaged a home in Clear Spring, Maryland one year ago this week.
Authorities say 28-year-old James McKee intentionally set the fire because the woman living there wouldn’t date him.
The fire last Sept. 19 left the house on South Martins Street a total loss. One firefighter was injured.
Deputy fire marshals arrested McKee early Tuesday at his residence in Clear Spring. He is charged with four counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of arson and ten related charges.
McKee is being held without bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
