Pennsylvania Campus Theatre Reopens after 2 Months
Lewisburg’s historic Campus Theatre is reopening after being closed for nearly two months due to a fire and flood.
A reopening celebration begins at 6 p.m. Thursday with a wine tasting and food donated by area restaurants. The first movie to be shown in the reopened movie house is “Burn After Reading,” which starts at 8 p.m.
The theater opened in 1941. It was restored in 2001 and turned into a nonprofit institution. A notable event there four years ago was a free showing of Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11” for registered Republican voters.
