Police: New Hampshire Man Faked Robbery, Scammed Insurance
A Manchester, N.H., man is charged with faking a robbery last year and trying to scam his insurance company.
Police say 36-year-old Shannon Vaal reported in January 2007 that he had been robbed at gunpoint and tried to recover more than $1,000 through insurance.
He was arrested on Tuesday on two counts of insurance fraud and one of filing a false report.
