New Hampshire Fire Marshal: Change Alarm Batteries

New Hampshire’s fire marshal is asking residents to change their smoke alarm batteries as they change their clocks this weekend.

Fire Marshal Bill Degnan says it also is a good time to change smoke alarms, if they are ten years old.

Degnan says smoke detectors are the most effective early warning device for fires, and can make the difference between life and death.
