Officials Investigate Fire at Maine Boatyard

The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a weekend fire that destroyed a building at the Great Island Boat Yard in Harpswell.

There were no reports of injuries and no boats were damaged in the early morning blaze Sunday at the building that housed a showroom and attached boat shop.

Cundy’s Harbor Fire Chief Ben Wallace said about 50 firefighters from six fire departments battled the blaze.
