Plymouth State College Offers Reward after Fires
Plymouth State University in New Hampshire is offering a reward after two more fires were set in dormitories.
The latest fires came Friday. Both were in trash cans in Smith Hall.
Officials say the first fire prompted an evacuation around 4:15 Friday morning. Firefighters found one small fire on the first floor as students were evacuating the seven-story dorm, then found a second one on the second floor.
There now have been five suspicious fires in Plymouth State University dorms this school year. Three were set in Grafton Hall last fall.
WMUR reports posters announcing a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible will go up on Monday.
