No Flood Damage to New Hampshire Despite Rising Suncook River
Authorities say New Hampshire’s Suncook River crested about a foot above flood stage, but did no damage to flood-prone communities.
The river peaked Tuesday afternoon and was expected to drop beneath the 7-foot flood point by yesterday.
Flooding has driven residents from their homes during the past three years. The Concord Monitor reports officials said there was minor flooding around the river, but it was not high enough to damage buildings.
More rain is in the forecast for Friday night.
