Gov. M. Jodi Rell says the Department of Motor Vehicles will begin testing newly designed license and non-driver identification cards that with beefed up security aimed at preventing fraud.

Among other things, the new license features an embedded graphic of the Charter Oak tree within the center of the card that is only visible when held up to a bright light.

Also an image of a lighthouse will appear as a hologram when the license is held under ultraviolet light.
