Car Plows into Massachusetts Store, Injures Mother and Child
Police say a car has plowed through the front entrance of a Danvers, Massachusetts Wal-Mart store, injuring a mother and a 1-year-old girl.
Sgt. Robert Bettencourt says mother and child were taken to a hospital with head cuts that aren’t considered life-threatening.
The 93-year-old driver was looking for a parking spot Tuesday morning when his car went between concrete pillars in front of the Danvers store and crashed through the glass doors, ending up 25 to 30 feet inside.
The driver refused treatment. His 90-year-old wife has been hospitalized with minor injuries.
Three people not involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be checked for stress because of pre-existing medical conditions.
