Severe Weather Causes Flooding in Maryland
Two homes in Maryland have been condemned after severe flooding caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida.
Salisbury Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Brown said Saturday that the homes were heavily damaged by flooding and that the residents were evacuated.
One of the homes has a 250-gallon oil tank to heat the house. Trace amounts of oil have been found in the waters, Brown said, but the tank is not leaking.
Brown said roads in the area were still closed because of flooding, and sporatic power outages were reported.
