Fire Damages Row of Stores in the Bronx
A five-alarm fire has caused heavy damage to a row of stores in the Bronx.
Fire Department officials said the fire early Monday damaged a supermarket, a diner and a dental office.
The cause was not immediately determined. But officials said it appeared the fire started in the supermarket.
Nearly 200 firefighters responded. Two suffered minor injuries.
The fire was reported at around 4:30 a.m. Monday. It was under control at 9:22 a.m.
