New Hampshire Boy Dies After Farm Accident
An 11-year-old New Hampshire boy who became pinned under feed at a Claremont farm has died.
A spokeswoman at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center has confirmed that Andrew Wheeler died late Friday afternoon. Authorities said he suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday at the MacGlaflin Farm. He had been hospitalized in critical condition.
Sullivan County Attorney Marc Hathaway said the boy was riding his bicycle on the farm and entered an open silage storage area. While in that area, he rode the bicycle near some feed that collapsed and buried him.
Adults at the farm were able to free him and perform CPR before rescue crews arrived.
