Five Injured in Explosion at Laurel Home
Laurel fire officials say five people — including three children — were injured when an explosion flattened their home.
Firefighters were called to the home on Dogwood Lane around 9:45 p.m. Monday.
Laurel Fire Chief Steve Brittingham says two parents and three children were inside the home when the explosion occurred. He says they were taken to area hospitals, but their conditions were not immediately available.
Brittingham says one firefighter reported that flames were not visible when they arrived, leading authorities to immediately suspect propane gas. He says the investigation into the cause of the explosion continues.
