Two Men Charged with Arson in 2008 Pennsylvania Tire Fire
Authorities have charged two men with arson for a Pennsylvania tire fire that caused $4.5 million in damages in 2008.
Police say 34-year-old John Hughes Jr. of Hanover and 43-year-old Angel Rodriguez of York tried to conceal property theft by setting fire to the Americana Tire and Wheel Co. building.
Hughes and Rodriguez are accused of stealing at least $5,000 in inventory from the company before torching the building.
Hughes has pleaded not guilty and has been detained until his Aug. 2 trial. Rodriguez is scheduled to be arraigned on July 13.
The men could each face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
