Police Arrest Suspect in Pennsylvania Church Fire
Police say that surveillance video recovered from a church that was burned four years ago has yielded a suspect in the blaze, and an arrest.
WNEP reports that Tiina Alnick of Honesdale is facing charges of arson, criminal mischief, theft and vandalism after state troopers were finally able to view the recovered video. She was arraigned and released.
Police say the woman intentionally set fire to Paupack United Methodist Church in June 2006, causing nearly $14,000 in damages, in a bid to cover up alleged thefts of cash, checks and postage stamps.
Pennsylvania State Police Lt. James Schultz said the arrest was years in the making.
