The National Weather Service says the storm that uprooted trees in northeastern Pennsylvania earlier this week was a tornado.
Meteorologist David Nocosia tells The Times-Tribune of Scranton the storm packed 95 mph winds as it passed through Jessup, Lackawanna County early Wednesday morning.
The storm brought down trees and damaged a couple buildings and a youth baseball field. No injuries were reported.
