Two-Alarm Fire Damages Restaurants at Maryland Mall
A two-alarm fire that broke out at Wheaton Plaza mall in Maryland has damaged at least two restaurants.
Firefighters were called to the mall Monday morning for a fire in the duct work above the Texas BBQ and Grill restaurant. The flames quickly extended to the attic.
One firefighter was treated for a cut to the face.
Fire department officials tell WUSA-TV that the fire was isolated to two or three restaurants. Those restaurants may have to close, but the mall will be open Monday.
Damages are expected to cost more than $200,000.
