New Hampshire House Votes for 2-year Vehicle Inspections
New Hampshire’s House has voted to require vehicle inspections every two years, instead of annually.
The House voted 234-101 Thursday to change the safety inspection law.
Supporters say it will save people money. They said 30 states don’t have inspections.
Opponents countered that the inspections find mechanical problems that pose safety hazards on the road. They said inspecting cars every two years could lead to more breakdowns, more expensive repairs and more accidents.
The bill goes to the Senate.
