Nor’easter to Bring Snow to Northern New England
It may be spring, but the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch across most of northern New England with more than half a foot of snow predicted across much of the region.
The weather service says a late-season nor’easter is expected to arrive late Thursday and continue through the day Friday. The heaviest snows are expected in New Hampshire, Maine and parts of Massachusetts, with lesser amounts falling in Vermont.
The brunt of the storm will be felt on April Fool’s Day, but weather service meteorologist Tom Hawley says the forecast “is no joke, unfortunately.”
He says rain could mix with snow along the immediate coast, but some inland areas could see up to a foot of snow.
