New York Appeals Court Amends Rules to Allow Outside Counsel
The New York Court of Appeals has added an amendment, 22 NYCRR Part 522, allowing special registration of attorneys in good standing located in other U.S. jurisdictions to act as in-house counsel for New York-based organizations.
The amendment, effective April 20, 2011, allows qualifying attorneys the ability to circumvent the traditional admission requirements.
