Penn. Man Convicted for Falsifying Receipts in Property Loss Claim
Pennsylvania resident, Jonathan Fry, was recently convicted for his attempt to defraud Homesite Insurance by filing a bogus property loss claim in excess of $25,000.
Among the documents provided for proof of ownership, Mr. Fry submitted receipts with clear discrepancies and errors.
On May 3, 2011, Fry pled guilty to one count of third degree insurance fraud, was ordered to pay $500 to the Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority, including prosecution costs, and was ordered to perform fifty hours of community service.
