Brooklyn, N.Y. Body Shop Inflated Insurance Bills
The Brooklyn district attorney says an auto body shop has been indicted in an insurance fraud case.
DA Charles J. Hynes alleges the body shop in Borough Park “enhanced damage to cars” when submitting inflated bills to insurance companies.
The prosecutor’s office said Thursday that about $700,000 in cash has been recovered.
The indictment names the company, its owner and one of its employees.
