Connecticut Woman Run Over by Own Car
Authorities say a Bristol, Conn., woman is recovering from a serious head injury after being run over by her own car in her driveway.
Police say 36-year-old Samantha Ceritello ran after her unoccupied vehicle when it began rolling down her driveway on Tuesday morning. Ceritello tried to get into the car and stop it, but she was knocked down and her head was run over by tires.
Authorities say she didn’t lose consciousness and was able to call for help on her cell phone.
Ceritello is in serious condition at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. Police say she’s expected to recover.
Bristol police say they’re investigating why the car rolled away. It stopped at the bottom of the driveway and didn’t hit anything else.
