Vermont Worker Dies From Fall at New Hampshire Construction Site
Police say a worker at a New Hampshire construction site has died from a head injury after falling at least 15 feet from a lift.
Police in Hanover said 53-year-old Dana Lowe, who died Wednesday, was at a construction site Tuesday afternoon at the Hanover Inn. The accident happened when the hook block of a crane inadvertently made contact with a scissor lift he was working on. That caused the lift to topple over, and Lowe landed on a concrete deck.
Lowe, who is from Morrisville, Vt., and was working for CSE, Inc. in Williston died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office listed the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head.
Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
