Car-Lawnmower Accident Kills Virginia College Worker
A Patrick Henry Community College employee is dead following an accident involving a car and a riding lawnmower.
Media outlets report the employee was on the lawnmower when a car hit it Tuesday on the Martinsville campus. The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The employee’s name hasn’t been released.
Patrick Henry President Max Wingett says in a news release that the college community is saddened by the accident.
Patrick Henry spokeswoman Kris Landrum says the school will review safety policies to determine whether any changes should be made.
The Virginia State Police is investigating the accident.
