Worker Critically Hurt in New Hampshire Brewery Accident
Firefighters say a brewery worker was been critically injured when a beer keg exploded at the Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth, N.H.
Assistant Fire Chief Steve Achilles tells the Portsmouth Herald firefighters were dispatched to the brewery at the Pease tradeport shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Achilles said the worker was found unresponsive in the loading dock area. He said the worker had been filling kegs with air as part of a cleaning process that removes residual beer from the kegs. Achilles said the worker suffered chest and head injuries.
