New York City Officials Urge Residents to Prepare for Hurricane Season
Officials are urging New York City residents to get ready for hurricane season.
The Atlantic hurricane season officially starts on Friday.
The city’s Office of Emergency Management has a new edition of its Ready New York hurricane guide. It’s available online and comes in numerous languages.
Some areas of the city were inundated with flooding when Tropical Storm Irene hit last August.
