Connecticut Troopers Arrest 57 for Drunk Driving Over Holiday Weekend
Connecticut State Police say they arrested 57 people for drunken driving and issued nearly 2,000 speeding tickets over the holiday weekend.
Authorities said Tuesday that troopers also investigated 281 accidents including fatal crashes in West Hartford and North Stonington over the three-day Memorial Day weekend.
Troopers issued 1,941 tickets for speeding and 718 for seat belt violations.
Police used traditional and unmarked patrol cars in a weekend-long enforcement operation.
