Delaware Officials Revise Red Light Camera Program
State officials are taking public comment through the end of the month on proposed revisions to Delaware’s red light camera program.
The proposed revisions specify that safety and crash criteria must be used in determining whether and where to post the electronic intersection monitors.
The revisions also specify that all intersections using red light cameras must adhere to the exact duration of the yellow light change interval, which must be no less than interval specified in the design manual developed by the Department of Transportation.
The revisions also clarify the rules for challenging a red light camera violation notice, which carries a fine of $112.50
