Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Names Dunn VP, Healthcare Professional Liability
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) appointed Stephen M. Dunn vice president, Healthcare Professional Liability. Dunn joins BHSI with more than two decades in the healthcare insurance industry.
“With over 20 years of industry experience, Steve will play a critical role in advancing our healthcare strategy and collaborating with our customers and brokers to provide meaningful and creative solutions in a rapidly changing industry,” said Leo Carroll, Senior Vice President, Healthcare Professional Liability, BHSI.
Dunn was most recently AVP and Hospital Industry Leader at CNA where he focused on allied facilities, physician groups and hospitals. Before that, he held various healthcare underwriting positions at Zurich, AIG and Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company. He was also a healthcare broker at Willis, where he advised hospital and allied customers.
He earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2002, and Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation in 1999.
Dunn will be based in BHSI’s New York office.
