Construction Worker Injured in Fall at New York Housing Project
Authorities say a construction worker is in a Syracuse hospital after he fell three stories while working on a building at a central New York housing project.
The Auburn Fire Department tells local media that the 29-year-old man was on a balcony at the job site in Auburn when he fell around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Fire officials say he was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition.
The man’s name wasn’t available.
Officials say the spot where the worker landed was muddy, which softened his fall and limited his injuries.
The accident occurred at a site where a $10 million senior living facility is being built.
The cause of the accident isn’t known yet.
