3 Maine Fire Departments Share Nearly $400K in FEMA Aid
Fire departments in three Maine communities will receive nearly $400,000 in federal assistance.
The fire departments receiving Federal Emergency Management Agency money are in Bridgewater, Brownfield, and Skowhegan. Brownfield, in western Maine, will get nearly $239,000 for a new tanker truck. Skowhegan, in the central park of the state, will receive nearly $135,000 for self-contained breathing apparatuses. Bridgewater, on the Canadian border, is slated to get $25,000 for personal protective gear worn by firefighters.
The money is from FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.
