Dershowitz Sues TD Garden for Slip and Fall That Happened 3 Years Ago
Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz is suing the TD Garden nearly three years after he slipped and fell in an arena bathroom while attending a Celtics game.
The Boston Globe reports that Dershowitz, an advocate for civil liberties, filed a complaint Friday in Suffolk Superior Court saying a depleted supply of paper towels near the sinks caused the floor to be wet.
He says this “dangerous condition” allowed water from other men’s recently washed hands to drip onto the floor, leading to his slip and fall.
Dershowitz was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The complaint states he remains in physical therapy after being diagnosed with a sprained ligament which hampers his mobility and keeps him awake at night.
A spokeswoman for the Garden declined comment.
