IAMI Names Officers and Directors for 2003
The International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMA) recently elected its slate of officers and directors for 2003 at their Annual Training Conference in Panama City, Fla.
Pat Rowland, of the Jackson County, (Ore.) sheriff’s office will serve as president; Karlton Kilby, of Seaworthy Insurance Co. in Alexandria, Va., will serve as first vice president; Sam Bean, of the Orange County, Fla. sheriff’s office, will serve as the organization’s second vice president; and Mike Higgins, of K-Chem Labs, Boston, wil lserve as secretary/treasurer.
Chosen as directors are Kevin Kelly, 8th Dist. USCG; Peter Clark, C Claims, Great Britain; Gary Sullivan, South Carolina Dept. of Natural Resources; Mike Smith, Missouri Water Patrol; Ed Sparkman, National Information Crime Bureau; Bob Ross, State Farm Insurance; Ron Strain, Suffolk County, N.Y. Police Department; Todd Schwede, Todd & Associates in San Diego; and Don Ellingsen, Brunswick Commercial Government Products. Richard Stavin, of Richard A. Stavin & Associates in Los Angeles, will serve as IAMI’s general counsel.
The IAMI (www.iamimarine.org) is a non-profit international organization dedicated to combating marine theft and insurance fraud, with more than 2,000 members in 14 countries.
