CSC and Zurich in Talks on Outsourcing Agreement
California-based Computer Sciences Corporation announced that it has been selected to enter into due diligence and contractual negotiations for a multi-year information technology (IT) applications outsourcing agreement with Swiss-based Zurich Financial Services.
Under the terms of the proposed global agreement, CSC would provide a range of applications development and maintenance services to support Zurich in North America (including Canada), Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
“We are delighted to have been selected to negotiate an agreement with Zurich,” stated CSC Chairman and CEO Van B. Honeycutt. “We look forward to applying our wealth of experience in the financial services industry to Zurich.”
The announcement noted that any “final Contract award and the details of the final scope and terms of the agreement will be subject to the successful completion of negotiations as well as any required consultation, regulatory and merger control approvals.”
