Crawford Adjusters Canada Chooses Asigra Software
Asigra, a technology provider in agentless distributed backup and recovery software for network computing, announced that Crawford Adjusters Canada Inc. has selected Asigra’s Televaulting software to protect data on servers and workstations at each of its 70 plus locations across the country.
Crawford Adjusters Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Crawford & Company, an independent provider of claims management solutions, is using Televaulting to address disaster recovery requirements, gain increased management capabilities, and achieve Sarbanes-Oxley compliance associated with the storage and quick retrieval of company data.
Like many companies, Crawford’s Canadian organization had previously used local backup methods at each of their remote facilities. To streamline these processes the company turned to Asigra’s Televaulting solution to enable scheduled and secure off-site data protection for business continuance and to meet regulatory needs.
The solution reportedly brings improved data management capabilities throughout the organization. The firm’s business-critical corporate data is protected with an automated backup, encrypted “at-rest” and “in-flight,” to an off-site data vault where it is available for restoration 24×7 in the event of an emergency or major disaster. The latest generation is available locally for quick restores of files or individual emails or mailboxes.
“Televaulting delivers an automated solution that streamlines the process of backing up distributed information from all our offices across the country, bringing us a disaster recovery solution that meets our high standards for compliance, security and ease of use,” said Scott Sutherland, vice president and chief information officer at Crawford Adjusters Canada. “Asigra’s agentless capabilities, superior pricing model and positive recommendations from industry experts allowed us to confidently select Televaulting to securely protect our corporate data.”
Asigra Televaulting is a WAN platform solution that delivers backup/restore service as a utility. Working closely with E-ternity, Crawford installed Asigra’s agentless client software on only one node at each remote location, regardless of whether they had one server or 50 within a heterogeneous LAN environment.
This simplified deployment reportedly enabled Crawford to easily address and meet the needs for regulatory compliance and disaster recovery, as well as to achieve better management of critical corporate information and infrastructure resources.
