ADP Claims Services Group Purchases 100 Percent Interest from Akzo Nobel
California-based ADP and Akzo Nobel of the Netherlands reported that ADP has acquired 100 percent of Business Management Services, LLC, a joint venture. ADP and Akzo Nobel formed Business Management Services to create Stellix, an automotive shop management system.
The agreement will not affect Stellix customers. Prior to the agreement, ADP was entirely responsible for providing service and support to repair shops using the Stellix system. ADP has also been the principal technology developer for the Stellix platform.
Stellix is a shop management system that reportedly gives repair shops better control of their entire operation. It provides tools that reportedly make it easy to analyze and manage critical areas such as workflow, parts management and shop profitability.
ADP Claims Services Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Automatic Data Processing Inc., is a provider of software, services and information to insurance carriers, collision repair shops and automotive recyclers.
