Marsh Expands EMEA Forensic Accounting and Claims Services Team
Marsh’s London offices announced that it has expanded its Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa [EMEA] “due to increasing demand for the firm’s specialist claims resolution expertise across the region.
“FACS assists clients that have suffered a loss arising for a variety of reasons, including property damage or a commercial dispute,” Marsh explained. “The practice helps companies effectively manage their claim submission, from preparing claims to negotiating settlements. In addition, it can arrange expert witness services and provide access to local teams around the world to assist with recovery and planning on the ground in the aftermath of an incident.
Mayank Bhujwala joins the FACS team in Dubai. A chartered accountant, Mr Bhujwala joins Marsh from BDO International, where he was an Audit Supervisor. Mr Bhujwala also has extensive experience of commercial disputes and fraud, and will work closely with Ian Peters, who leads the FACS Practice in the Middle East.
Based in London, Aruna Kumaravel joins Marsh from forensic accountants Matson, Driscoll & Damico UK LLP. Ms Kumaravel has been involved in forensic accounting since 2006. She specializes in loss of profits claims and has experience in stock loss claims, covering the food and beverages, hotel and restaurant, wholesale distributors and retailers sectors.”
Andrew King, Marsh’s Leader of the FACS team for EMEA, commented: “As well as claims for physical damage or loss, the team handles claims in relation to financial crime and fraud, which are on the increase as a result of the global economic downturn.
“How an insurance claim is handled can be essential in getting back to ‘business as usual’. Mayank and Aruna will be dedicated to achieving a speedy recovery for our clients and will enable us to continue to serve the EMEA market well.”
