Clark Named to Lead Marsh’s UK Energy Claims Team
Marsh has appointed Martin Clark as UK Leader of its Energy Claims team in London. He will have overall responsibility for managing clients’ energy claims for risks written in the London insurance market.
Clark has worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years. He joins Marsh from Zurich Financial Services, where he ran a claims department dealing with high value energy, property and construction claims.
Barry Jones, Head of UK Claims, noted: “The energy business is high-risk and has suffered many high profile losses in recent times, which has created an extremely challenging claims environment.”
Clark added: “All businesses need to have their claims resolved as quickly as possible to get back to ‘business as usual’ and remove the loss from their bottom line. This is particularly challenging in the energy sector due to the often complex nature of the losses involved. Marsh’s energy clients are able to benefit from a comprehensive broking and claims service which has excellent reputation in the energy marketplace and I’m delighted to be joining the firm.”
