Aon’s Jenkins Appointed President of London Business Interruption Ass’n.
The London Business Interruption Association (LBIA) has elected Aon’s Diane Jenkins as president for 2010/11.
The LBIA aims to advance knowledge on all matters relating to business interruption and runs a series of technical lectures and education days throughout the year.
She has been a member of the LBIA committee since 2005, was deputy president for 2009/10 and has also previously acted as education secretary.
Jenkins currently serves as technical director for Aon’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group Europe, providing technical support on insurance due diligence, of which BI is a key issue. In addition, she served for 10 years on the Insurance Institute of London’s (IIL) property/BI sub-committee.
Jenkins noted that “London businesses have felt the effect of business interruption events in very real ways over the past year, the Icelandic volcano being a perfect example, and we are seeing heightened levels of interest in how to prepare and cope with them in the future. I look forward to the challenge of raising awareness and standards in this vitally important area.”
