Trains Collide in Venezuela, Toll Unclear
Venezuela’s transportation minister says two trains have collided outside Caracas and that officials are headed to the site.
Transportation Minister Francisco Garces confirmed the collision on state television Thursday, saying the two trains collided in a tunnel in Los Valles del Tuy in the Caracas suburbs.
He did not provide details nor any toll of the injured.
The Venezuelan television channel Globovision reported that state emergency management official Victor Lara said 15 people were injured.
