Crawford Launches Global Technical Services in Mexico

Crawford & Company, an independent provider of claims management services, launched its Global Technical Services (GTS) division in Mexico to more effectively manage large and complex claims from the growing insurance market in the region.

“We are seeing significant growth in Mexico and throughout Latin America, and we are formalizing our GTS presence in the country to better serve our clients,” said Mauricio Alonso, chief executive officer of Crawford’s Latin American and Caribbean operations. “Our loss adjusters have the experience and industry focus to evaluate, assess and mitigate damages as quickly as possible. In addition, we can draw on all our GTS resources in the region and around the world to ensure that our clients’ needs are met.”

Crawford & Company de Mexico SA de CV, Crawford’s arm in Mexico recently marked the GTS launch with a conference for the insurance and reinsurance market held at the Club France in Mexico City. About 150 senior company executives and guests from Mexico, Brazil, Central America, the United Kingdom and the United States participated in the event.

To more effectively coordinate large loss adjusting services in Latin America, Crawford recently established six GTS hubs in the region. In addition to Mexico City, those hubs are located in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Panama City, Panama; and Lima, Peru.

GTS assists all major stakeholders with strategic loss management during significant claims.

Most recently, GTS adjusters have been deployed to assist with fire and flood losses in Australia, earthquake claims in New Zealand and Japan, and flood losses in Thailand.
