ACE Names Jarrod Hill to Lead International Property Business
The ACE Group appointed Jarrod Hill executive vice president and head of International Property for ACE’s Overseas General business, effective September 1, 2013.
In this role, he will have responsibility for all of ACE’s retail commercial property insurance business in 50 countries throughout Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Formerly head of Property and Casualty for ACE’s Asia Pacific region, Hill will relocate from Singapore to London and report to David Furby, division president, Commercial Property & Casualty, ACE Overseas General.
Hill succeeds Derek Talbott, who has been named division president, North America Property & Specialty Lines.
“We are delighted to have an accomplished executive such as Jarrod in this key role,” said Mr. Furby. “His leadership experience and wealth of expertise in property classes ideally positions him to drive growth opportunities for this business around the world, while maintaining a strong focus on underwriting profitability. At the same time, we would like to thank Derek for the contribution he has made in this role these past few years and wish him all the best in his new assignment in North America.”
Since joining the company in 1991 as a property underwriter in Australia, Hill has held a number of senior underwriting and general management roles for ACE in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. He assumed his current responsibilities as head of Property and Casualty for the Asia Pacific region in 2007.
